Basic Video Editing Appointments Available at Patrick Beaver Memorial Library

Patrick Beaver Memorial Library is offering one-on-one sessions for those interested in learning the basics of video editing with Avidemux  on April 1st, 1:00-4:00 PM. Topics to be covered include video filtering, cutting, combining videos, encoding to different formats, resizing and more. These tasks will be demonstrated using Avidemux, a free movie editor available on Windows, Mac and Linux. These sessions are geared towards users with no video editing experience.

Public Art Commission seeks artist for project at Hickory Police Department

The City of Hickory’s Public Art Commission (PAC) is seeking an artist to create a large-scale work of art inspired by the theme of “Police and Community Together.”  The work will be a sculpture installed on the grounds of the Hickory Police Department.
