Building Fire

At approximately 4:18 Monday morning, Hickory firefighters were dispatched to a structure fire located in the area of 754 18^th Street NE.   On arrival, firefighters reported a large fire coming from a vacant building.  Firefighters responded with three engines, one ladder truck, one rescue truck, and two command units.  Hickory Police and Catawba County EMS also responded to the incident.  No injuries have been reported and damages to the building are considered major.   The cause of the fire is under investigation.
