Independence Day – City Offices, Libraries, & Rec Centers CLOSED
July 4, 2023
The City of Hickory will close its offices on Tuesday, July 4, in observance of Independence Day. City of Hickory offices will reopen on Wednesday, July 5, at 8:30 a.m.

Public Services
The Solid Waste Division and its services will operate on a normal schedule.
Hickory Public Library
Hickory Public Library, the Patrick Beaver Memorial main facility and the Ridgeview Branch, will be closed on Tuesday, July 4.
Parks, Recreation & Sports Tourism
The Parks, Recreation & Sports Tourism Administrative Offices and all recreation centers will be closed on Tuesday, July 4. Parks are open 365 days a year.
Hickory City Council
The Hickory City Council meeting regularly scheduled for Tuesday, July 4, has been cancelled due to the holiday. The only Hickory City Council meeting in July will be held on Tuesday, July 18, at 7 p.m. in Council Chambers at Julian G. Whitener Municipal Building (Hickory City Hall).
Open gym, Pickleball and Exercise Class schedules are subject to change.
