October 17, 2022 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
FreeGrades 1-6
Do you love to read and create art? Want to hear a local poet and artist talk about their work? Kids grades 1-6th are invited to a poetry and art talk featuring local poet Scott Owens and artist Missy Cleveland in celebration of their new book, Worlds Enough.
Worlds Enough is a celebration of kids for kids. The first 40 youth to attend the poetry/art talk will receive a kit including a copy of the book, 4×4 canvas, acrylic paints and paint pens, and brushes to share words and/or painting in response to Worlds Enough in a Tiny Art show that runs Nov 1-30 at Patrick Beaver Memorial Library. Please return completed art by November 1 with name, age, and home library branch on back of art to be featured in the Worlds Enough Tiny Art and Poetry Show. Artists can pick up their work December 1-10th.
Can’t make it to the reading and art talk but still want to participate in the art show? Please stop by Patrick Beaver Memorial Library or Ridgeview Branch Library to receive a 4×4” watercolor paper and instructions on how to participate in the art show. You can use any medium you have at home (markers, crayon, paint, pencil). You can submit as many pieces as you would like.
Please register by the child’s name only.
Open gym, Pickleball and Exercise Class schedules are subject to change.
