SUMMARY:City of Hickory closures for Good Friday and Easter
DESCRIPTION:City of Hickory offices will be closed on Friday\, April 3\, in observance of the Easter holiday. Regular business hours will resume on Monday\, April 6\, at 8:30 a.m. \nBelow are additional holiday schedule updates for City departments: \nPublic Services\nThe Solid Waste Division will operate on a normal schedule\, including regular garbage and recycling collection. The Yard Waste Facility will be open for mulch and leaf compost sales from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday and Saturday\, April 3 and 4. \nHickory Public Library\nBoth library locations—the Patrick Beaver Memorial Library and the Ridgeview Branch—will be closed on Friday\, April 3. Both locations will be open normal hours\, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.\, on Saturday\, April 4. Patrick Beaver Memorial Library will be closed on Sunday\, April 5. \nParks\, Recreation & Sports Tourism\nAdministrative Offices\, Brown Penn Recreation Center\, and the Ceramics Studio at Winkler Park will be closed on Friday\, April 3. Highland and Ridgeview recreation centers will operate on a normal schedule on Friday and Saturday\, April 3 and 4. Highland Recreation Center will be closed on Sunday\, April 5. Sunday hours of operation at this facility will be suspended until Thanksgiving. City parks remain open 365 days a year.
