DESCRIPTION:Join us for Hickory’s inaugural HKY 100\, a 100-mile ultra trail race designed for solo runners and teams of 2 to 10. This challenging event pushes the limits of endurance\, pace\, and strategy as you race around the clock. \nThe course features a 4-mile loop that combines: \nDouble-track farm trails (once believed to be old moonshine roads)\nSingle-track hiking paths\nThe newly created Aviation Walk\nWinkler Park nature trails\nA unique finish at the Hickory Crawdads stadium \nExpect over 15\,500 feet of elevation gain across a route that’s approximately 70% trail and 30% paved. The terrain includes short\, steep climbs and two longer ascents of about 0.65 miles each. The course will be well-marked with cones\, arrow signs\, and reflective tape for night running.
