SKATERS:
Skaters can sign up for the GAME of SK8 or Skate JAM Competition or both.
GAME of SK8 will start at 10am
Skate JAM Contest will take place following GAME of SK8 and intermission.

Duties and Code of Conduct

All Skaters will have the following responsibilities:
Skaters agree to abide by the rules and regulations of City of Hickory Stanford Skate Park competitions.

? Skaters will report to the competition booth at least 30 minutes prior to the beginning of the
Competition, each day of competition

? Skaters will acquaint themselves with the competition area and facilities by warming up and practicing during open practice or during their designated practice times.

? Skaters will clear the competition area before the competition begins and avoid interfering in any way with the progress of the competition.

? Skaters will respect and accept the judges’ assessments and scoring.

? Minimum age for athletes to be able to compete in HPRT events is age 4.
Skaters under the age of 18 will a minimum wear a helmet during practice and competition.

? Skaters must be aware of their surroundings at all times and should take precautions to be extra vigilant and considerate of other skaters, especially when on course. In order to avoid collisions, it is forbidden to wear headphones while practicing.

SKATER’S SAFETY AND PROTECTION
Each Skater shall skateboard using safety gear deemed necessary by HPRST which includes skaters under the age of 18 wearing a helmet, elbow pads and knee pads. Adults 18 and older must wear helmets as a minimum requirement.
Wearing of a helmet is mandatory for ALL athletes. This shall be enforced by HPRST and competition judges. Use of helmets during the practice sessions is also mandatory.
The Contest Director will not start the competition in the case that Skaters required to wear helmets are not wearing them. Failure to wear a helmet will invalidate any skater’s score and will result in disqualification (DQF).

A high-energy cardiovascular workout! Participants have total control of resistance and intensity levels of their workout. New participants should arrive at class at least 15 minutes early to ensure proper set-up on the bike. Towel and water bottle are suggested!
