Chad Fisher - Deputy Fire Chief

Chad Fisher was promoted to Deputy Chief of Administration in January 2020. He joined the fire department on November 24, 1997 and has completed various training courses including emergency vehicle driving, Rapid Intervention Teams, Firefighter Safety and Survival, and completed the Swedish Flashover Simulator. Through the North Carolina Fire & Rescue Commission, he is certified as a Level II Firefighter, Technical Rescuer, a Level II Fire Service Instructor, Hazards Materials Operations and Fire & Life Safety Educator Levels I through III. In November 1999, Fisher completed the vehicle extrication course and during 2000, he was certified as an EMT through the Office of Emergency Medical Services and has been certified as a National Registry EMT. Fisher has also completed training and received certifications as a Technical Rescuer in the areas of Vehicle Machine Rescue and Ropes Specialty. Most recently, he completed the Fire Officer Level III program and the Leadership I, II, and III. In September 2012, he completed the Chief 101 program. Fisher has continued his education by completing training in the NIMS (National Incident Management System) program and obtained Level I Fire Inspector certification. In 2019, he graduated with an Associate degree in Fire Protection Technology through Cleveland Community College. He is attending Fayetteville State University for their Bachelor program in Fire and Emergency Services Administration.
