Hickory firefighter promoted

The following firefighter has been promoted to Captain.         

Eric Bartlett (Captain) 

Hickory Fire Department has promoted Eric Bartlett to the position of Fire Captain. Bartlett was hired as a firefighter in 2009. He is certified as an EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) through the North Carolina Office of Emergency Services and a Level II Firefighter through the North Carolina Fire and Rescue Commission. He has completed training in many areas, including Hazardous Materials certifications awareness and operations levels, Technical Rescuer, and has completed Fire Officer Levels 1 and 2.   Bartlett is certified as a Level 2 Fire Service Instructor and as a Level I Fire & Life Safety Educator. He also has Associate's Degrees in Fire Protection Technology and General Education through Cleveland Community College. For the past 22 years, he has also volunteered as a member at Icard Township Fire Department. Bartlett is married to Crystal, and they have two children, Bailey and Sydney.
