Library Endowment

The Hickory Public Library Endowment provides for needs and services that extend beyond the funding provided by the City of Hickory, Catawba County, and the State Library of North Carolina. Additional gift support ensures ongoing excellence, innovation and flexibility in library service.  The Library Advisory Board holds an endowment fund drive each year.

Endowment Funds

The endowment is composed of five separate funds and is managed by Catawba Valley Community Foundation, an affiliate of North Carolina Community Foundation.

  • Humanities Programming Fund
  • Ridgeview Branch Humanities Programming Fund
  • Ralph W. Hutton Family Children's Fund
  • Patrick Beaver General Operations Fund
  • Hickory Public Library Collections/ Electronic Resources Fund
