Main Avenue NW/NE resurfacing

As part of the City Walk project, contractors will be making crosswalk improvements and resurfacing the pavement on Main Avenue NW/NE from Second Street NW (Hong Kong Café) to the N.C. 127 bridge. This work is expected to begin on Wednesday, June 16, with milling the pavement and will continue with intermittent roadway closures until the street resurfacing is complete. Work in this area should take several weeks and may temporarily impact on-street parking along Main Avenue NW/NE. Citizens are asked to use caution when traveling through the work zone and follow the directions of flagmen and posted signage.
