Duke Energy tree pruning

In the coming weeks, Duke Energy contract crews will start trimming trees in the NW and NE quadrants of the City of Hickory.

Duke Energy routinely prunes or removes trees and other vegetation along the power lines to maintain safe, reliable service and minimize outages. These practices are approved by internationally recognized tree care associations and are referred to as Integrated Vegetation Management (IVM).

If work is required on your property, you will receive a door hanger with details beforehand. If you have any questions, please contact the arborist (listed on the door hanger) directly.

Duke Energy has contracted with Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC to perform the trimming and predicts the work will conclude by mid-June.
