Senior Firefighter Jeff Cline announces retirement

Congratulations to Senior Firefighter Jeff Cline on his retirement.

Jeff Cline has retired from the Hickory Fire Department. His interest in firefighting began as a volunteer firefighter with Lawndale Fire Department, where he served for over 5 years. Cline is certified as a level II firefighter. He has training as an Emergency Vehicle Driver, Rapid Intervention Team, and a Technical Rescuer through the North Carolina Fire & Rescue Commission. In 2002, he was certified as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) through North Carolina Office of EMS. He has completed NIMS (National Incident Management System) classes through the National Fire Academy. 

Throughout his years, Cline has obtained several certifications including Technical Rescuer and specialized in the area of Ropes. In 1996, Jeff graduated from Gaston Community College with an Associate degree in Fire Protection Technology.   

Cline resides in Lawndale with his wife Tracy and two children, Nathan and Nora. During his retirement, he plans to continue to work at Main Street Hardware in Lawndale.
