Rise & Rally Format Pickleball (Highland Rec)

Rise & Rally Format Pickleball for all ages! 4 nets will be set up!
We’re excited to introduce a new free play format designed to keep games fun,
fair and competitive for everyone!
This new format, called Rise and Rally,
ensures a good mix of players on the courts,
no matter if you win or lose.
How It Works
We’ll be using two courts
with a total of four nets.
Court 1 is for starting a game and for teams that have just lost.
Court 2 is for starting a game and for teams that have just won.
Players will start by stacking their paddles in a paddle queue at either Court 1 or Court 2, waiting for their turn to play.
When your game is over, the two players on the team must split up.
Your next move depends on the
outcome of the game:
Winners: The two players on the winning team must split up and go to the paddle queue on the winning side (Gym 2).
Losers: The two players on the losing team must split up and go to the paddle queue on the losing side (Gym 1), specifically the court closest to the facility’s front desk.
This ensures a constant rotation and fresh pairings, preventing any single team from dominating the courts for too long.
Example Rotation
Let’s say you and your partner, Alex, just finished a game on Net 3 on Court 2.
If you won: You and Alex split up. You go to the paddle queue on Court 2, and Alex goes to the paddle queue on Court 2. You’ll now be paired with a different player who also just won a game.
If you lost: You and Alex split up. You go to the paddle queue on Court 1, and Alex goes to the paddle queue on Court 1. You’ll now be paired with a different player who also just lost a game.
This system guarantees that you’ll play with a wide variety of people, making every game a new challenge!
Open gym, Pickleball and Exercise Class schedules are subject to change.
