The Adopt-A-Street Program started in 2008 when the City of Hickory and its citizens recognized the need to combat the litter problem in our community.

Advantages to participating in the Adopt-A-Street Program:

•     Improve the overall attractiveness of the City
•     Reduce roadway pollution
•     Increase public awareness of environmental issues
•     Reduce the cost of litter removal
