Billing & Collections/Customer Service
The Billing and Collections Divisions of the Finance Department are located on the second floor of City Hall. The Billing and Collections Divisions are available to receive payments for water and sewer bills, building permits, business licenses, leasing downtown parking spaces and dumpsters, and all other revenue collected by the City. Collections staff can answer questions relating to water and sewer taps, meter reading, bill inquiries and customer service. To stop, start or transfer service or if you have questions about your water & sewer utility bill please call 828-323-7424 or email collectionsstaff@hickorync.gov.
For citizen convenience, a drive up window is available behind City Hall to accept payments in cash, check, money order, or credit/debit card. The drive up window is open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. A drop box is provided at the drive up window and is available 24 hours a day.
