City of Hickory closures for Good Friday and Easter

City of Hickory offices will be closed on Friday, April 3, in observance of the Easter holiday. Regular business hours will resume on Monday, April 6, at 8:30 a.m.

Below are additional holiday schedule updates for City departments:

Public Services
The Solid Waste Division will operate on a normal schedule, including regular garbage and recycling collection. The Yard Waste Facility will be open for mulch and leaf compost sales from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, April 3 and 4.

Hickory Public Library
Both library locations—the Patrick Beaver Memorial Library and the Ridgeview Branch—will be closed on Friday, April 3. Both locations will be open normal hours, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., on Saturday, April 4. Patrick Beaver Memorial Library will be closed on Sunday, April 5.

Parks, Recreation & Sports Tourism
Administrative Offices, Brown Penn Recreation Center, and the Ceramics Studio at Winkler Park will be closed on Friday, April 3. Highland and Ridgeview recreation centers will operate on a normal schedule on Friday and Saturday, April 3 and 4. Highland Recreation Center will be closed on Sunday, April 5. Sunday hours of operation at this facility will be suspended until Thanksgiving. City parks remain open 365 days a year.
