Fire & Life Safety
The Fire and Life Safety Division provides progressive Fire Code Enforcement, Fire Education and Fire Investigation activities for the City of Hickory.
The NC Fire Code includes requirements for mandatory operational and construction permits. In order to assist with the issuance of these permits, the Hickory Fire Department has implemented a permitting system. This site includes permit applications and submittal requirements. It also includes other useful information for those involved in construction of a commercial building.
The Fire and Life Safety Division is located on the first floor of Hickory City Hall. For more information, please contact them at (828) 323-7522.
