Hickory Police investigate attempted murder

Hickory Police are investigating an attempted murder that occurred on Thursday, December 19, 2024, in the parking lot of the Courtyard by Marriot in Hickory.

Hickory officers responded to 1946 13th Avenue Drive SE in Hickory shortly after 4 a.m. to reports of a shooting. Jeremy Antwoine Hubbard, 35, of St. Louis, Missouri was located in the parking area of the business suffering from a gunshot wound. He was flown from the scene to Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem where he is in stable condition.

Cadisha Laquana Kadia Hill, 31, of Colombia, South Carolina, and a known acquaintance of Hubbard, was charged with first-degree attempted murder.
