Hickory Police investigate homicide case, arrest two juveniles

Hickory Police have arrested and charged two subjects in connection with the homicide of Mason Cole Pridemore that occurred on February 20, 2025. Two seventeen (17) year old juveniles have been arrested and charged with First Degree Murder in this case. Both subjects are being held in the custody of the Department of Juvenile Justice with no bond.

Feb. 21, 2025 Release:

The Hickory Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred on February 20, 2025.

At approximately 9:57pm, Hickory Police responded to reports of an unresponsive male inside of a vehicle in the parking lot of 1405 29th Avenue Drive NE. The victim, Mason Cole Pridemore, 22, of Hickory, was found deceased inside the vehicle from an apparent gunshot wound.
