Hickory police investigate missing person case

The Hickory Police Department is requesting information that will assist in locating a missing Hickory man. 

Edward Kendall O’Neil, 62, of Hickory was reported missing on Sunday, April 5, 2026. He was last seen around the 2400 block of Springs Road NE around 11 p.m. He has not been found as of Monday, April 6. 

O’Neil was last seen wearing a black and white hat, grey shirt, and grey pants. He is believed to be suffering from cognitive impairment, and he walks with a limp.
