Lowes Foods City Park to temporarily close for improvements

Lowes Foods City Park in downtown Hickory will close beginning Tuesday, Oct. 13, for the installation of new playground surfacing. The project is expected to take up to two weeks to complete, depending on weather and site conditions.

During this time, the entire park and playground will be closed to the public to ensure safety while work is underway. Restrooms adjacent to the park will remain open.

The City of Hickory appreciates the community’s patience as these improvements are made to enhance the safety and experience of this popular play space.
