The Traffic Division manages the traffic and parking systems, including traffic signals, pavement markings, and street signs. Most signals in the City are owned by the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT), but some signals belong to the City. All traffic signals within City limits are maintained by Hickory's Traffic Division for NCDOT.

While the Traffic Division authorizes the placement of street lights, the installation and maintenance of street lights throughout the City are the responsibility of Duke Energy.  Please contact Duke Energy at (800) 769-3766 if a street light in your neighborhood is out or damaged. You may also click the following to report street lights:  https://www.duke-energy.com/customer-service/request-light-repair
