Rotary-Geitner Park

Featuring an activity building, gazebo, paved bikeway, walking and nature trails, boat launch ramp, fishing pier, and restrooms.

Please note that certain areas of the park may not be available at times due to Riverwalk construction. The boat launch ramp is currently not accessible by car due to construction activity. The Geitner Trail paved greenway may be closed to park visitors on Monday mornings so that contractors can transport Riverwalk construction materials to the job site. Learn more.

Thanks to a partnership between the City of Hickory and the Lackey Family of Hickory, the current Rotary-Geitner Park is planned to be renovated in memory of the late Deidra Lackey. The future Deidra Lackey Memorial Park is anticipated to include a lake house for public and private events, conservatory, memorial gardens, trails, an outdoor amphitheater, and an event terrace on Lake Hickory.
