Hickory’s Parks, Recreation & Sports Tourism Department is committed to serving senior citizens in the community. With 26 City parks, six recreation centers, and two senior centers, Hickory offers a wealth of amenities, activities, and programs for seniors in the area to stay active in both mind and body.
Throughout the year, Hickory recreation centers and senior centers provide programming especially designed for seniors, from B-I-N-G-O and board games, to computer workshops and fitness classes. The Parks, Recreation & Sports Tourism Department also hosts numerous trips to a variety of locations in the United States. Although there is a cost to attend, the cost is minimal compared to the experiences that participants receive.
