A Story and a Song with Mountain Sam Wheelock

Teen & Adult - On Wednesday, June 7, at 6:30 p.m., join Mountain Sam Wheelock for his one-man show "A Story and a Song.” This show is a non-traditional look at the music of the Southern Appalachian Mountains. His stories and songs reach into the soul of a people with a surprising and unique perspective regarding who we are and the music we create.

Wheelock has been a featured performer on Song of the Mountain, an award-winning public television series showcasing music, musicians, musical heritage, and the culture of the Southern Appalachians. Wheelock has also worked with ABC Productions, TV shows like Baywatch, and has movie credits such as The Addams Family and From Dusk till Dawn. 

This program will take place at Patrick Beaver Memorial Library.
