Thanksgiving office and facility closings
The City of Hickory will close its offices on Thursday, Nov. 23, and Friday, Nov. 24, in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. Offices will reopen on Monday, Nov. 27, at 8:30 a.m.

Public Services
The Solid Waste Division and its services (garbage, recycling, yard waste, and leaf collection) will continue without interruption.
The Patrick Beaver Memorial and Ridgeview Branch libraries will close at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 22, and remain closed Thursday, Nov. 23, and Friday, Nov. 24. Both Hickory Public Library branches will be open regular hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 25.
Parks, Recreation & Sports Tourism
The Administrative Offices will be closed Thursday, Nov. 23, and Friday, Nov. 24.
Highland Recreation Center will close at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 22, and remain closed Thursday, Nov. 23. Highland will be open Friday, Nov. 24, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Ridgeview Recreation Center and Brown Penn Recreation Center will close at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 22, and remain closed Thursday, Nov. 23. Ridgeview Recreation Center will be open Friday, Nov. 24, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Brown Penn Recreation Center will be closed Friday, Nov. 24.
Westmont Senior Center will be closed Thursday, Nov. 23.
Regular hours for recreation facilities will resume on Saturday, Nov. 25.
Starting Sunday, Nov. 26, Highland Recreation Center will be open on Sundays from 1-6 p.m. for the winter season. Parks are open 365 days a year.
