The City of Hickory recognizes the importance of a strong business community. The Business Visitation Program encourages staff to visit local businesses and open the lines of communication within the community. The City is interested in hearing about the needs or problems confronting the business community and ways that the City can help businesses succeed. The program also provides business owners and management with a single point of contact within City government. These visits also allow for time for staff to update businesses on public projects that may impact their business.
