Cyanotypes - Hickory Public Library

Cyanotypes

Learn how to use ultraviolet rays to create a photographic blueprint. Cyanotypes have been around for over 100 years. In this simple process, we only need the sun, light sensitive paper, and we welcome you to bring small objects you like – some that will allow light to pass through (lace) and some that light cannot pass through (Lego block). Don’t worry if you do not have items to bring to use. We will have items to create our art projects while exploring the photo processes like cyanotypes, photograms, and more. This program is for ages 7-11. Registration is required. Please register at https://www.hickorync.gov/calendar/event/cyanotypes/.
