Introduction to 3D Printing at The Learning Lab

Interested in 3D printing, but not sure where to start? Join Hickory Public Library for an informative session on 3D printing fundamentals on Thursday, September 1, at 6 p.m. We will discuss the best software for beginners, 3D printing terminology, design practices, the submission process to print designs, and more! Registration is required. Please register at https://www.hickorync.gov/calendar/event/introduction-to-3-d-printing/.

This session takes place in The Learning Lab on the second floor of Patrick Beaver Memorial Library. While learning about the core concepts of 3D printing, you will also be able to see our 3D printer in action! During open lab hours, the printer is accessible for patrons to submit designs for printing and pick up their physical prints when complete. The Learning Lab supports creativity, exploration, connection, and accessibility through hands-on learning.
