Metronet today announced that construction has begun on its 100 percent fiber optic infrastructure in Hickory, North Carolina. Metronet is fully funding the multimillion-dollar project that will provide Hickory residents and businesses with access to ultra-high-speed internet. Construction activity has begun in the Kenworth area and will expand rapidly with the first customers being activated in the fall of 2022.
