Polar Plunge 2023 registration is now open!

Registration for this year’s Special Olympics Polar Plunge is now open!

The Hickory Police Department will be hosting its 16th Annual Polar Plunge on Saturday, February 17, to benefit the Special Olympics of North Carolina. The event will be held at The Hickory Foundation YMCA outdoor pool located at 701 1st Street NW in Hickory.

Registration will begin at 11 a.m. with the plunge starting at 1 p.m. A minimum donation of $50 is required to participate. Students with a student ID can participate for $25. Teams of five can also register.

There will also be refreshments, music, and door prizes throughout the day.
