The Street Division is responsible for maintaining the existing storm drainage system and installing new storm drainage within the right-of-way.  Pipe maintenance crews are responsible for performing new construction and repair projects, along with preventive maintenance activities. 

Examples of the types of projects undertaken include:

• New Pipe Installation
• Repair and upgrades of existing pipes
• Pipe cleaning projects
• Catch basin cleaning
• Catch basin repair
• Catch basin construction
• Manhole repairs and construction
• Erosion control projects
• Spill/hazard responses
• Cave-in projects
• Other Miscellaneous maintenance functions related to the stormwater pipe infrastructures

The crews also support open ditch maintenance, as needed, within the right-of-way.  One ongoing project is to mark all City drains with "No Dumping Drains to River" markers to help educate the public not to pollute our drains.
