Travelers will see new traffic patterns in the Old Lenoir Road area

As part of City Walk Extension/Aviation Walk, which are parts of the overall Hickory Trail, the City of Hickory is realigning two intersections in the Old Lenoir Road area.  

Friday morning, July 21, drivers will see a new traffic pattern, creating an intersection at 11th Street NW, 10th Street Boulevard NW, and 3rd Avenue Drive NW. 

The previous intersections of 11th Street NW and 3rd Avenue Drive NW, as well as 10th Street Boulevard and 3rd Avenue Drive NW, will be permanently closed.

Please use caution as construction is still ongoing through this area.
