VayaHealth Free Training Sessions about Dementia

Join the staff of VayaHealth at Patrick Beaver Memorial Library on Thursday, July 21, for two training sessions. “Dementia and Psychosis Behavior: What You Need to Know” will begin at 10 a.m. In this class, case reviews and activities will be used to identify some frequent challenging behaviors associated with dementia and psychosis. There will be a review of factors that may trigger behavior with a focus on prevention and intervention strategies. 

“Overcoming Communication Barriers in Dementia” will begin at 11 a.m. and will cover ways to increase communication with people with different forms of dementia and their caregivers. Continuing education hours can be provided.
