Landscape Services

Landscape Services is responsible for beautifying and maintaining all assigned city properties in order for them to be aesthetically pleasing and functional in purpose for the benefit of the citizens. This division has four major areas of responsbilities: turfgrass maintenance, cemetary operations, tree plantings and maintenance, and landscaping.

Parks Maintenance

The City of Hickory has 26 parks located throughout the community. The Parks Maintenance Division of Parks & Public Properties is responsible for maintaining the beauty and functionality of city parks.

Building Services

This division is responsible for maintaining 47 public buildings and properties. The Building Services crew includes electricians and maintanence technicians who perform basic construction and maintenance functions (carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.) as required.
